I've got really dry skin but I've been using Burt's Bees Carrot Day Cream for a while and it's fantastic. It's got a different texture to synthetic-type moisturisers like Olay and Garnier because it's nearly all natural (97-ish percent) and you feel nice using it because it isn't just a jar of chemicals. It takes a while to absorb but your skin feels so soft and kind of buttery once it's all in, but not at all greasy. It's full of things like carrot oil and shea butter and rosemary oil and avocado. It's not that expensive either- a 50g jar is £14.50 but you only need a little bit so it lasts for ages, and it is also great as a make-up base because it doesn't absorb straight away and also isn't greasy. The rest of the Burt's Bees range is fantastic too, they don't test on animals, and I promise you you'll be a convert!

Hi had the trouble in finding a decent moisturiser as i have sensitive skin so i can use alot of moisturisers that are scented. But I know £15 may sound expensive for a moisturiser but it the best you can get and It aint a joke i have tried loads and spend money on loads of moisturisers when i just needed this one, which is clinique. I was expecting it not to do the job but its brilliant and worth every penny and you dont need a lot either I thought it would be a waste of money as its in a little bottle and i thought you would need loads but you dont. I used to have dry skin oon my cheaks head between the eye brows and oon my nose and nothing help i use to try every facial moisturiser that said it was for dry skin and it didnt work. But this is a life saver i couldnt do without it. And its brilliant as a make up base,
Its also fragrance free, but has lanolin in it so if you are allergic to lanolin then you may not bealbe to use it but im sure you will be.

I like the Dove Sensitive Essential Facial Lotion. It is not greasy, provides good moisturizing coverage, and makeup goes on smoothly even immediately after using the lotion. Plus, there is no strong scent, and it leaves your face feeling moisturized. I have had a hard time finding it in store lately though- got it from Walmart before. So, I ordered it online through amazon.com.

My dermatologist recommended cetaphil moisturizing lotion for me, I have dry skin too. Cetaphil is fragrance free and non-comedogenic and the bottle says it was formulated for chronically dry skin. The reason I like it is because many other face lotions irrate my skin, but cetaphil feels and works great for me. I don't know how it works as a make-up base because I rarely wear make-up. Hope I helped!

Dr Hauschka - it's fab - I have dry skin too and this is the only thing that has worked for me. Try their Rose day cream or, moisturising day cream - about £14 each. You can buy trial sizes for £3. John Lewis sell it and they do have a website. It is natural with no chemicals etc - you won't regret it.

Vitamin E facial moisturiser from the Body Shop....or something with cocoa butter, which is a very thick moisturiser. Try not to use moisturiser with oil, it clogs up pores.

I really like this one, it's called Miracle Lotion, is for dry skin but I have normal skin & use it as it gives a really nice glow. it has 14 herbs & 7 natural oils. You can buy it from this site (free P&P in UK)

BWC - Beauty Without Cruelty products are really awesome. The anti-aging moisturizer helps soften and mosten my skin as well as regenerate skin cells. Try it out. It's wonderful and safe.

I have really dry skin too.

I wash my face with Cetaphil, and I used Ponds moisturizer - it's EXTREMELY cheap, but works so well. It's got a blue lid :) That's all I remember!
