Talk to your doctor first. You need to come down slowly. Then he/she can give you something for the withdrawal (if you have it) called Clonodine. It's a blood pressure medication that works wonders for withdrawal symptoms. No anxiety, no jiggy arms/legs. Nothing.

You can taper your dose by 15% every 3 days and probably much faster. You were not taking them that long. What narcotic where you taking and how much? If you were taking hydrocodone stopping should not be a problem and you would not have severe symptoms, more potent narcotics may take a slow taper. Talk to your doctor, he/she does not want you to take them longer than necessary and I am sure would support and advise you in stopping.

You just need to reduce the dose slowly under the supervision of a doctor. A little at a time and you will have minimal effects; Good luck;

If you just had surgery in December, withdrawl should not be a problem. It also depends on which drugs you were taking.
Stop taking the meds. You are fine.

First, what kind of medicine is it? Second, does the doc know that you feed it's time to call it quits? Third, what kind of surgery did you have that you could become addicted and suffer withdrawls in less than a month? Check back with info please. Good luck.

Actually, your doc should have given you a schedule for tapering. I would call him and tell him you don't feel you need it any more and ask to be tapered off. You can run into problems if you just D/C them, you need to wean your body off of them...
