Not sure if these ideas will work for you... but I'll give it a shot...

Can you see a movie this weekend at a local theater? You may run into some familiar faces. OR Check the Main Street for a Hobby, Comic or Sport shop... something of interest to you. How about a slice of pizza? I figure if you run into someone you would like to be friends, and start talking about, school or such and then run into them again next week.

What every you choose to do, Just keep on smiling.

First, it's "I'm" not aim... no offense, just saying. Anyway, scene is very very popular these days, so I doubt that you're going to be alone there. People tend to emphasize the bad and none of the good so if you hear there are a lot of "gangsters" they probably were only paying attention to them and none of the other groups. Even if you are scene, it's just one year before you hit high school, and then you're going to be just like 75% of the population. No one picks fights on the first day of anything or even the first week unless they know the person from somewhere before. Try to hang out with the skaters though, or for the first few days just dress normal and look for other scene kids or people you can hang out with.

It's natural to be scared. I went to a lot of different schools when I was growing up. But in the end I made so many new friends and it became part of my personality to be able to join in any new groups. It's great to be a new kid. Try to enjoy it!

don't be scared. this is a new oppertunity for you to reinvent yourself. ex. if you did anything really embarrasing at the school your in now hey no one has to know about it at your new school. walk into it with an open mind and let the cards play out. you never know it may be the best thing that has happen to you!

I wouldn't be scared. If you act confident there would be no reason to. The first day is always the hardest. You can get through it. Good luck.
