I've been talking to this girl for a bit, that i like alot. but she kinda going with this other guy. i talk to her from time to time and when she talks about him and the a lot little stuff he does bad, i pick at it and make it look like its bigger than it really is, so in the long run maybe she'll come with me. i don't want to do it but it keeps happening. is it wrong?

I would say that what she is telling you is not only making you want her to leave him because you want her, it is also upsetting you because you know that he is doing her wrong and you are wanting her to get out of that type of situation.

Put yourself in the guys shoes. Every guy has some little thing that he does and doesn't really realize what he is doing. So if you were dating someone and your gf started talking to another guy as friends and he did this would you be mad. If she likes you for you without you dogging her bf then she leave him and get with you. If not all you doing is making yourself look bad in front of this girl. Just be yourself and stop talking bad about this other guy. Now on the other hand if hes putting his hands on her then you can do something about without looking bad. But remember if she is in this relationship still, shes got to love him and with you talking about him she might just think your a bad person in the long run.

Don't play games. Be honest about your feelings -- then you will know if there is a chance for you to have a relationship with her.
