Ok, I'm white and I live in town where i've always been in the spot light,( hate it and really fed up with it) and I met a guy he is black, I personally don't care about the nationality, he is a great guy with a very good personality, but unfortunately people who surround me always butt in to my personal business. Not going out is not a solution for me and him. The thing that I'm afraid of, is how people are going to treat me if we brake up, which I hope will not happend. and when people see me with what will they think

First of all, what everyone else thinks shouldn't matter. The most important thing is that you like him & he likes you. I'm a white guy who dated a black woman for about 5 years. It's not about color, it's about the person. If someone's too shallow to see past the color of someones skin, their advice isn't worth listening to in the first place. Go for it & don't worry about what everoyone else thinks :)

That's really going to depend on the attitudes of where you live.

I was married to a black man for 10 years. Have 2 beautiful daughters. In the entire time I think I encountered racial attitudes from stangers maybe once...and it was from black women who seem to think I stole their man. Very strange, their sense of how someone is their property due to skin color, but - whatever! The only other problem I had was from his mother and younger sister. They didn't think I was good enough because I was white. To this day, they trash me out to my kids and my ex.

If he's nice, go out with him. Do be ready for the clash of worlds, though.

Well my uncle is black and he has a white girlfriend that I love to death. I think that people will always stereotype blacks and whites because they think of slavery which I think people need to get over. I personally don't care what color race people date because if you're happy that is all that should matter

as long as he works and is not on welfare.. no problem, but if he thinks he's gonna be a rapper and not have to work... find a nice white guy if you can. if no white people want to date you since you did a black dude, you'll have to move to find someone who doesn't know your past
