I have many books I need about 40 ft of shelfing any tips ie videos teaching ect

How much room do you have? Measure the height of the shelves that you want. (The out side edges). then measure the height of the longest book. Then divide the length of the outside boards by the length of the book.Keep your shelves this high. Depends on how thick
the books are, you may have to build two. Good luck.

just an add on to the old college standby, cover the boards with fabric that you like, paint the cinder blocks..you can change it up, recover, or burn the wood later when you own a home with a fireplace..

MDF is a type of building material thats cheaper then regular wood and will hold your books.
just measure
cut
nail
sand
paint or finish
mount to wall

The old colllege standby....cinder blocks and long pine boards, 1X12 is good.
