It is not for food since he has food out and sometimes has just eaten. My legs are scabby and it hurts. Any theories??

Maybe there is something wrong internally that he is trying to tell you about. Take him to the vet.If you do not believe this is the problem spray your ankles with that no bite stuff, and check the litter box, make sure he is not eating anything funny. perhaps he is just not getting enough love?

Well your Cat tabby wants to play I recommend getting lots of toys for tabby And then see and play with him and keep him happy and by your side. If this doesn't work try declawing him

Make an appointment for the Vet...my kitty attacks my ankles when she's in a playing mood, but never to the point where she breaks the skin - maybe your cat is trying to tell you he's sick (?)..

My cat does this when he wants to play or when he wants his food. I know which food he likes and sometimes he will leave the food alone that he doesn't want and pester me by shooting out from under the sofa to attack my feet when he wants his favourite meal.

If he waits for you to walk by and then attacks, he is probably just bored and playing. Get some new toys to interest him and spray him with a water bottle when he attacks you.

Do you have a habit of rubbing tuna on your ankles? That could be the problem.

ITS VERY COMMON FOR DOGS OR CATS TO DISPLAY THESE TENDENCIES IF THEY WERE TAKEN AWAY FROM THEIR LITTER MATES BEFORE 9 WEEKS. IF HE IS THE ONLY ANIMAL IN THE HOUSE, YOUR CAT THINKS YOU RE HIS LITTER MATE AND PLAY MATE

did you declaw him? because when you declaw him it makes them bite more, because you took away their defences. if you didn't, then spray him with lemon and water (not in the eyes) when he tries to bite you.
