The only chemical difference between Coke Zero and Diet Coke is that Coke Zero has about half the aspartame but has more ace-k.

While I'm not aware of the chemical differences between the two, I can comment on the taste. Coca Cola Zero is much sweeter than Diet Coke. A regular Diet Coke drinker, I tried Coke Zero and found it to be similar to drinking regular Coke. Very syrupy and intensely sweet. While both are "zero calorie," I definitely prefer Diet Coke for it's "not so sweet" flavor. I will not drink Coke Zero again.

No difference whatsoever it's just a way to get people to buying coke zero. Part of marketing strategy to get people into thinking there's something in coke zero that isn't in diet coke which is not true when you take a look at contents of both, it's just the same. Also coke zero looks cooler than diet coke. That is for those who don't want to seem they are taking diet coke for dieting.

I think the biggest difference is the label and a new marketing approach.If as the young lady answered earlier that on contains aspatame and the other splenda they are both chemicals that are not good for the body over the long term .under certain conditions both chemicals can be toxic and highly dangerous best you drink bottled water if out even a very small amount of sugar is safer if you must sweeten your breakfast cerial or tea and coffee.

diet coke is of course supreme but the difference is diet coke contains phenylalanine in it and coca cola zero has something else which makes it taste bad.

I think of Zero as plastic coke as it contains nothing!!! Zero tastes better but if your not going to drink it then why bother asking??? you could have asked about the difference between tea and coffee, I cant drink coffee it gives me a headache..

Whereas diet coke has less sugar than normal coke. Zero coke has no sugar whatsoever.
