I am worried that because we are not married, the Army will not allow me on base. If not, will he be able to get off base housing allowances?
Any help is appreciated.

We do eventually plan on marrying, just not right now. Both of us are from extremely split families, and as such are in no rush to marry. A recruiter told him that I would be allowed on base, and I felt that this was not correct information, which is why I am asking.
As for the off base housing allowance, I meant for us to live together, not for me to have separate housing.
While he is in training, I will be in college and working while living with my family. I am not trying to rip off the government or "shack up" temporarily. This was a long term relationship before we moved in together, not a one night stand.

wow... a lot of bad information here.
You are allowed on base. WIthout being married, you will not get housing on base. You ARE allowed to VISIT him in the barracks, however you can't live in them with him.
There is such a thing as BAH without dependents, it's just less than if he were married to you. It all depends in whether his command approves him for it or not.

No base housing for you or him. Also, living together as a couple and not being married is a violation of the UNIFORM CODE OF MILITARY JUSTICE There are other legal ramifications of not being married and living with a service member. If you get off base housing it will not be paid for. It will have to come out of yours and his pocket. On many bases, if there is sufficient barracks space, single off base allowance is not offered.
Sheesh if ya love the guy, get married. If you're not planning on getting married, move on. It will be a few months before he will get a permanent station and will you want to move to the other end of the country and not be married? If you get pregnant, you will not be entitled to military paid care for the duration of your pregnancy, or the delivery. What is wrong with women like you?

I know for sure you will not be allowed to live on base with him if you are not married. And he probably won't be allowed to live off base either.
As to people saying why don't you just get married? I am in a similar situation, I have only been dating my boyfriend for about seven months now, and he just re-enlisted in the USMC, just because he is leaving doesn't mean we have to rush and get married just so I can be with him! I support him, but I would hate for us or any couple to make such a decision based only on the fact that they can't live together being un-married.
And, just because you can't live with him now, doesn't mean that's how it will be for his entire enlistment. The time apart may make your relationship stronger and lead to marriage---and then you will be able to live together!
I know it will be hard-but stay STRONG!

Housing on base are only for families. You will not be able to live with him. He is allowed to get an apartment off base and might recieve a small stipend if he chooses to stay off base. Living off base is the only way you guys will live together or if you get to be married then you can live on base.

1. No they will not allow you onbase without escort.
2. No you will not get base housing.
3. If he gets approval he will get off-base housing allowance for a single person, your presence, unless as a married couple, will not change the amount or increase the likelihood that he will be approved to live offbase.

short answer: No. as a single Soldier, he will not qualify for BAH or to live off base at first.. defienitely not through schooling, and possibly not until he reaches a certain paygrade.
there;s a difference to being allowed on base, and being allowed to live in base housing.. no, you cannot live in housing until you are married, but your BF would be able to escort you on base to visit some area.. but the Barracks are off limits.

as everyone else said, no you are not allowed to live with him on base. he will be assigned to the barracks. because you are not married, he will not receive any entitlements to housing. also depending on his rank, he will not be authorized to live off base either. he can choose to live off base, but he will not get any money for it, the money will come out of pocket and that is very expensive.

YOU will not be allowed any allowances.. He MAY be able to get housing allowance to live off post, it just depends on his command. But as a private, more than likely he wont be able to get that approved..
