I tried looking under control panel desktop but don't see it listed.
I tried to select something different on top of it but it does not supercede it. ........help

No, Me an U and Justco. I had tried both of those methods before but tried them again. It is not shifting.

Try System Restore. Pick a date before you installed it. See if that helps. You could go to msnews.microsoft.com, there are a lot of questions and answers there that might help. I have found it very helpful.

start menu /controlpanel/ select apparences /desktopbk round or wallpaper select new option click -ok -apply should re-set if not one other suggestion that was good was system-restore as another person suggested post date back to a time where you did not have picture posted and restore to that day harmless easy fix.....have a nice day then add or replace with what ever you want to .. !

i guess you're on windows
Start > Control Panel > Display > Desktop
on wallpaper, there should be a dropdown with a lot different ones, select None.

right click the deskto click on properties. click on desktop tab reset from there then click on ...Apply & ok
