Your W2 is completed by your employer. DO NOT FILL ANYTHING IN ON IT.

Take the W2 to a tax preparer and they will file for a tax refund. WAIT FOR YOUR MONEY - those instant fund services are rip-offs.

If UncleSam is going to send you $600 if you wait, you get $600. If you take the instant income you get to pay $150 to $250 to get your money.

Ok. You don't change the form. The employer is supposed to fill it out with the income totals of how much they paid you. What type and totals of taxes taken out? What state and what totals on state taxes were paid ? Ok..

If you are a dependent and your mother or father claim you on their taxes, you need to get with them and have them help you to fill out yours.

If you are an adult on your own. Do yourself a favor take it to HR Block or any other reputable tax preparer, or even to the IRS office and have your taxes filled out properly.

You can get a program like TurboTax and do your taxes yourself or you can go to a company or lawyer that does them for you. You don't have to fill in any boxes on your W2, any information you need is on there and you use them to fill in the tax forms.
