He says how much he loves me all the time but I don't know if he means love or if he knows what it is and thinks he does.

Men in general are not emotionally expressive, if they truely love someone then they will express their true love when you really need them the most. Like when you have a bad day at job or at home. Just mention this to him about your mood, if he truelly loves you he should be there to give emotional boost, if he doesn't show much concern then you have to be cearful about his overly jestures.
Try giving him bad situations you are in once a while and see if he is there to solve them. If he does that then you can keep your option open and see if your emotional chord clicks.

Just worry about your love, not his.
IF he loves you he'll show it, perhaps not all the time; but he will, and the times he shows you you should feel special inside.
We love and concentrate on our love, than we leave others to do the same, in hopes that is equal or comparitive to ours.
We can't measure others love for us, just our love for them

omg i have the same problom! I'm wondering about that with my boyfriend! I guess when he looks into your eyes and says it should be able to know. My boyfriend just calls me and says it randomly.
