I had body disphormic disorder so I could find out I only thought I was fat and ugly. I mean, it's really hitting me now. My hips are huge! Or thighs, or whatever they're called! I just hate my body. I want liposuction or something, and my nose is too big! Please tell me I have BDD! I just wanna wake up from the bad dream and be like, woah, my body is amazing! But I can't. This isn't a dream! I mean, I'm 13 and I'm hoping I'll grow out of it and I'll be skinnyer and everything. Will I?

Please delete your question. You are too young to be putting yourself out in public like this. You are endangering yourself. Your parents will be very disturbed by you posting your personal info and face like this.

Please remove your name from the YouTube video. What you have done is potentially very dangerous. No, it is dangerous.

You are too young to promote yourself like this.

First off, I saw the photos, you're precious.

Second, you're 13! Your body is starting to change and it won't stop for a while.

To go so far as to say you have BDD is a stretch. All girls go through some amount of self doubt as their bodies change. The popular magazines with twigs on the cover don't help this.

I would suggest on getting physically active. Get a subscription to a HEALTH type magazine. Make sure you have a good diet (and yes, a good diet contains carbs & protein). I am suggesting this not because there is anything wrong with your body, but so you can feel you are doing something in a healthy way. In the end, it doesn't matter what others say, it is how you FEEL. You have to conqure that negative feeling by doing something positive.

You are NOT fat! Talk to your parents, do some healthy activity together (walking, gym, yoga). Whatever you do, do not starve yourself. Genetics will determine a lot about your body, nutrition and excersice will do the rest.

If none of this helps, then you may want to consider some therapy with someone who specializes in BDD and eating disorders.

Good luck!

I originally wrote the rest of this post before I saw your pic - you updated while I was giving the answer. You have too critical an eye (we often tend to be our own harshest judges)! I think you look great!

Anyway, being a teenager is an odd stage of life - you're in a state of "in-between," and as your body is developing, you go through some growing pains. You're at an age where you shouldn't worry terribly how you look - you're going to be experiencing many changes in the next couple of years, and if you're anything like me and everyone I know, you're going to look very different by the time you enter your 20s.

Besides (and I know you probably hear this from everyone but that's because it's true), looks really don't matter when it comes down to it. Genuine friends will love you for who you are, not for what you look like.

In the meantime, try not to think about your looks so much. Stay fit, but don't obsess over it. Spend your time with your family, don't be afraid to talk to them about things that bother you inside. Have fun with your friends and enjoy each other's company. Take up some hobbies and activities that develop your personality, explore who you are, what you're interested in, etc. You'll find that by trying to focus thoughts off yourself will help you feel better.

Are you serious? wow so many would kill to look like you. you are beautiful and your hips are fine. Even if they were huge i'd have good news for you because it is scientifically proven that men are attracted to women with an "hourglass" figure. Stop worrying about your body-the only thing you may need to change is your personality, but i haven't met you so i don't know.
