Protestant and Catholic Christianity are both ways to find Jesus.

Protestants believe their way is truer and Catholics (like me) believe our way is truer. Once you are in heaven, it does not really matter.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church confirms that non-Catholic Christian churches are legitimate, when it states:

Furthermore, many elements of sanctification and of truth are found outside the visible confines of the Catholic Church: the written Word of God; the life of grace; faith, hope, and charity, with the other interior gifts of the Holy Spirit, as well as visible elements.

Christ's Spirit uses these Churches and ecclesial communities as means of salvation, whose power derives from the fullness of grace and truth that Christ has entrusted to the Catholic Church.

All these blessings come from Christ and lead to him.

With love in Christ.

Neither, unless you only have those two choices. I do not attend a protestant church neither am I a catholic. I am a Non-denominational Christian.. We believe that the BIBLE is the only place to get GOD's answers from. GOD's BOOK, the BIBLE, was an inspired writing by over 40 writers and a 1600 year period. The BIBLE has a number of examples of the First Century Church in it that I would study and check out the church that you intend to study with from it's writings. Jesus is among the writings that I would read and study as well as HIS Apostle's writings in the New Testament. Does that make as much sense to you as it does to me?? I hope so. Have a great day!!

I was raised Anglican but became Catholic just over 4 years ago. I would recommend that you contact your local Catholic priest and ask him about an RCIA course. The Catholic Church is very diverse and most often completely misrepresented in popular media.

Get hold of the Catechism of the Catholic Church and read Chapter 4 first, then see what you think.

The first thing you might want to think about is what you mean by "find Jesus". What is that all about, and why does it interest you? If you really want to know about what Jesus was all about, the first thing you must realize is that all Christian denominations should be saying the same thing about Jesus himself and his message to love one another. It is true that the different denominations have various approaches to faith and spiritual practices. I guess the best thing for you to do is to identify what you feel best about in your faith practices, and then to become informed (and I mean really explore this) different approaches to this and select the community that you feel best matches your journey of faith. I have my own understandings of how the different denominations approach this, but I am afraid it may seem biased to those who don't share my experience and study of it, so I will let it be with this: your relationship with God is your journey. The most important thing is that you find a community that allows you to nurture and deepen your relationship with God. Spend some time on learning, and really explore what will lead you on the most fulfilling journey.

The true way to find Jesus is among a community of believers. It doesn't matter whether they are Protestant or (Roman) Catholic or Orthodox.

That depends on
1) Do you view it as a 'starting point' or an ending point?
2) Is the 'congregation' (the people which have souls) willing to change(grow)?
Those views are a start to grow (especially presently in the USA).

You find Jesus by seeking after Him and what He wants for your life. He expects you to live as a reflection of His life here. That's the only way; where you go to church matters for NOTHING!

You find him in your heart because atheists, pagans, Buddhists and countless others have found him in their lives. One would think that after discovering him one would want to join the original church of Jesus Christ -- the Catholic Church because it goes all the way back to the apostles.

Of course God himself says says "when you seek me with all of your heart I will let you find me". This does not mean that one must consciously be aware of this search because again, countless non-Christians have indeed found him.
