I thought I was having fun, but I wasn't really. I should have concentrated more on school and actually gotten the degree, and I was trying to make up for the empty social life I missed out on in high school. I still don't hang out much or socialize and still don't get out much as I'm busy working all the time trying to keep up with my habits. I met my wife, which was cool, inevitable, I suppose, and it was nice to be away from home but it was a very expensive party. The only thing about college that should be a good time is the fact that you've graduated with honors and you're getting a great job where you can make lots of money. Everyone moves on and does their own thing, you never see the people again and the time passes by entirely too fast to really appreciate whatever experiences you're having anyway. So college was fun, a lot more than now, but that's only because of my responsibilities, and yeah I'm really indifferent about having fun in college because you have the rest of your life to do that. Plus who wants to do it with you when you're broke?

it was a time of intense study, stress of exams, and time occupied by tonnes and tonnes and tonnes of reading, and tonnes of writing, not fun and games,
and socializing, trying to get a girlfriend was considered (by the very intense feminist movement in the late 80's) as males conspiracy to distract females from academic success, so it was definitely heartbreaking and lonely and stressfull, not happy times, and summer jobs were hard to get, and low pay.

I miss being that age though. If I knew then what I know now, and if I had then, the social skills and spiritual strength and support I have now, wow, life would have been better.
Hindsight is 20/20 ! :)

Now after graduating and working for some time, I have too many friends, and more money, but more financial responsibilities to keep track of.

I went to a community college for a year and dropped out after. I do plan on going back because it will help in getting a better job in the future. However, it was a lot like high school and I've always hated school.. It's not exactly my thing. But I think it all comes down to what you want to do and what you like.

My colleges years are some of the most stressful years of my life, anyone who says youll love college, and what they would give to go back are truly idiots.

They were very good, but not the best, because I was usually broke. The best times are now.

yes. because you have absolute freedom and basically no real responsibility. When else is having 2 hours of class at 2 in the afternoon considered a full day of work?!
