1. go to college.. take something related to medicine as preparatory course.. like biology, medical technology, pharmacy, physical/occupational therapy
2. proceed to medicine after finishing your college course.. be good in anatomy, physiology, bichemistry and pathology..
3. pass the USMLE or whatever licensure exam you need prior to residency..
4. you'll have to enter internal medicine residency program - i think it's a 3-year program..
5. then you subspecialize in cardiology which is another 3 years and if you plan to go further, there are still subspecialty programs for cardiologist like 2D-echo etc...
goodluck!!!

To become a cardiologist, you must have a 4 year college undergraduate degree. Then you go to medical school for four years. Then you must do an internal medicine residency which is three years. Then you do a cardiology fellowship which is another 3 years after residency.

First, a university course in Medicine. In there, you will find what specialization course(s) are needed for cardiology. Ask for details in any college or university offering a Medicine course.
