About DVD tools?

How can I burn files from my computer into a dvd +R and be able to watch them in any dvd player example, the one hooked up to my tv? I dowloaded example a music video and recorded it to a dvd+R disc, and cannot watch it in my dvd player. Is there a program I can download for free from download.com or somewhere else? Thank you.

Most DVD players will only play DVD-R - Some & only some will play DVD+R.
