Lemon & Chorizo Chicken
Get some chicken breasts with skin still on, (possibly wing as well). Lift the skin gently and put a slice of lemon, som good quality cooking chorizo and fresh thyme under the skin and stretch back over the breast. Fry quickly skin side down then turn over, sprinkle with fresh ground black pepper & sea salt and put in the oven covered on medium heat till done - about 15 mins.
you get a nice red juice from the chorizo which you should pour over the chicken when serving. serve with a nice mash - with mustard or celeriac / apple possibly.

Grill steaks together....it is entertaining, helps break the ice, you can enjoy a glass of wine while your grilling, plus if you grill out doors, the open air, and night stars are romantic. Cut up a few potatoes, wrap in aluminum foil w/ salt & pepper & a pat of butter. Throw that on the grill as well. Try veggies cooked the same way if you don't want potatoes, or try grilled corn on the cob. Music in the background, the aroma of a great meal, good wine, relaxing conversation and the milky way for a back drop.
Sounds like a nice, romantic, laid back evening to me.

How about a nice Porterhouse or T-Bone steak, grilled or broiled with mushrooms, a baked sweet potato with butter and cinnamon, and a steamed veggie or a salad. Turn off the lights, light some candles, play some soft music in the back ground, and have a nice bottle of wine!

to bad you don't want pasta, cause i think the best and easiest thing to make would be spaghetti. other than that you might want to try steak on a grill. that's always good. A little longer on the preperation part, but it's worth it.
