My girlfriend and I just broke up after 4 years together. During the relationship her friends always told her that she was too good looking for me... So naturally it made me the jealous type whenever she went out with her friends. I guess she got fed up with it that she broke it off with me two days ago. We bought a house together about 6 months ago, so we are both still in the same house together. I find myself wondering what she is doing all day long. How do I stop caring about what she is doing?? I just wish I could forget she exsisted.

That's pretty rough. I know it is probably easier said than done but you shouldn't be living in the same house. Of course you are going to wonder who she is with and what she is doing if you have to be around her all the time. I know that I wouldn't be able to deal with my ex-boyfriend being around me constantly, it makes it a whole lot harder to just cut the ties and move on, which is what needs to happen ASAP.

Well that is going to be VERY hard. I have been with the same guy for 4 years also and I couldnt imagine losing him. I had a broken heart once before him and it took me like a year to get over it entirely. SO 4 years I would imagine to be harder. You just have to keep yourself busy and time will heal all pain. I know that sounds cheesy but it's true. My parents were together 22 years and then split and my dad took it really hard for years afterwards too.

Sorry to hear about your break up...however there is no simple answer. It just takes time to heal, allow yourself to be hurt just don't stay there. Go out with friends, get a new hobby do other things to occupy your mind and time. Good luck.

the best thing to do to get over the pain of a break up, is go out and meet (and eventually do other things : ) to several other women. it will help you get over that pain and make you happier. don't even think about somehow "luring" your ex back because it's not going to happen. just pretend she's a jackass roommate and have minimal social contact.
