Oh man, I love boxing 'what if they fought' questions...

A prime Evander Holyfield fought in a much stronger/talented division that Klitschko. Holyfield had (and still has) and incredible heart and rock hard chin. I think he'd beat up on Klitschko and knock him out in round 8 or 9.

In fact...I think if the current Holyfield fought the current Wlad Klitschko it wouldn't be all that lopsided for Wlad.

PROLOGUE - If Douglas was not in shape for fighting Holyfield, after KO'ing Tyson then it was no body's fault but his own.

HOLYFIELD - W 38 (KO's 25) TF - 48 W pct 79% - KO pct 52% - wins over Dokes, P. Thomas, Qawi[2], Foreman, Bowe, Moorer, Holmes, Douglas and Tyson{2} - KO'ed by Bowe and Toney (Holyfield was 41 yrs old) - #77 ranked puncher - #22 ranked fighter
Won 1984 Bronze Olympic medal at Lt Hvy wt
Great heart and chin
Like Ali and Holmes beat the good fighters of his day

w klitschko - W 47 (KO's 42) TF - W pct 94% - KO pct 84% - wins over Byrd[2], Mercer and Botha - KO'ed by Brewster, Sanders and R. Puritty

This was the klitschko that had a glass jaw and lack of stamina. In this bout I pick Holyfield by a TKO within 10 rds.

EPILOUGE:
It was stated that Holyfield had problems with tall fighters like Lewis. Holyfield beat all the other fighters that were tall like Lewis:

Dokes
Douglas
Foreman
Stewart
Thomas
Tillis
Tillman

even if you imagine Klitschko has an same type as Lennox Lewis or no longer, the Holyfield that fought Lewis isn't the Holyfield that would want to Klitschko. This Holyfield might want to be worse than the only contained in the Lewis wrestle. this is a televised execution of Evander Holyfield, if he fought Wladamir Klitschko.

Firstly, lets make no mistake that the Buster Douglas who knocked out Mike Tyson was not and in no way the same Buster Douglas! Douglas was actually one the great talents in boxing history to greatly underachieve his talent!
The type of fighter Klitscko is, is exactly the kind of fighter Holeyfield has always had trouble against! Case in point..................Lennox Lewis!!! Big, Strong, fairly quick hands, can punch in combinations.....and hits hard!
If Klitschko trains properly in defensing Evander's left hook, his most dangerous weapon, Klitschko wins in a TKO in 7!
Too Big, Too strong...Too fast, even for a young Evander!
