Good for her. Why don't you propose? If you are so in love with her you'll make a commitment that gurantees her more than just sex. She's smart to wait for that.

Sounds almost like my boyfriend and I.
Your girlfriend and I apparently have the same states of mind.

Here's MY state of mind when it comes to sex:

You should stay a virgin till you're married.
God intended it to be that way.
But many, MANY people abuse that.
And God looks down on those people.

You don't just give your virginity to just anybody.
It is the best present you can give your future husband.
It is you... it is all of you.

If you become pregnant, you can handle it better when you're married.
You'll have that person beside you who promised to always be by your side.
It won't be some random guy or some guy who you THOUGHT loved you.

Sex makes many things complicated in an unmarried relationship.
It takes two very mature people.
You do not want to get yourself lost in everything that comes with sex.
Most people nowadays tend to just BASE their relationship on sex.

I am a virgin myself. I have a boyfriend of a year that I am completely in love with. We talk about marriage and how I want to wait till our wedding day to have sex. He truly does love me... he respects me. That's when you KNOW you have a great guy. That's when you KNOW he's in love with you... when he has absolutely no problem in waiting. Actions speak louder than words...

I agree with the person above me she could be waiting for marriage and if you really love her than sex shouldn't be everything you care about doing with her.

For some girls is important to wait for the perfect moment. For guys it isn't.

If you love your girlfriend, wait for her until she's ready. Relationships are not about sex, they're about sharing and caring, sure sex is important, but if you like hanging out with her and sharing things with her, then I suggest you to define your priorities.

If you push her to have sex, she will get mad. So.. what's more important? To keep a relationship with her with no sex but with love, or to push her to do something she's not willing or not ready for? Think about it.

She's not ready. Maybe she wants to wait until she's married. I hope that you are not trying to force her into anything. If you simply can not deal with the way she is and if you can't wait for her, then you need to move on.

At least you know she is free of STD's and hasnt been with 50 other guys. If you truly love her you would respect her decision and quit thinking just of yourself.

She is probably afraid and waiting for that wedding night. There are a few good ones still out there. Dont push it.

Good for her ... sounds like she has a good head on her shoulders. Learn how to meet her needs. Get pre-marital counseling. Propose. Stay engaged for a year. Then decide.

I would just ask her, but beyond that perhaps some counseling would be in order. It may be a physical/emotional concern on her part. Don't wait though...find out...the same thing happened to me at the same age you are...so we just drifted apart without finding out what was wrong...every thing was there...but she was scared of sex....

Maybe she's waiting for marriage. If you love her and want this to last you will respect her.
