My boyfriend asked me for some space to get his life back in order. He hasn't had much time for me and felt it was unfair to me and to us. He isn't interested in anyone else and neither am I. Do I give it a month? 3 months? 6 months for him to get his life together? How long should I wait before I re-evaluate the situation? I've been told I can't wait forever for someone, but I can't think of being with someone else either.

Wow, you must have really put his life in disarray to the point that you should not be around until he reclaims order, or has his new maid do it for him. Re evaluate it today and ask for an answer today. You may not be able to see your self with someone else right now but, get your answer and I bet your visual acuity comes back.

You can’t wait forever either, but give him some time if he is worth it. But also remember that asking for space can also be a way of letting you down without hurting your feelings. Take the time to sort out how you really feel, the chances are if he is not ready to be with you then you are not ready to be with him too.

I wouldn't wait at all. I would never put my life on hold waiting for someone else to make up their mind. If it is meant to be for you two, then it will be. Never sit back and wait. Move on.

i would see if he has got his life back together in a month and try to call him once every week to just ask how he is doing and if he still loves you and just be pacient so that he wont have another thing to worry about

I think you should talk to him. Are you guys still in constant contact? But u are right you cant wait forever, but only you can know hw long you should personally wait. But talk to him find out wat it is he wants because only wen you are fully informed can you make the right decision 4 u
