Never buy food when you are hungry, better go after you eat.
Stick a picture of a very fat lady in the refrigerator, so you' ll think two times before eat some snack you shoudn't .
When you eat make your table pretty, chew slowly, after eated can help live the table fast a brush the teeth as soon as possible .
Don't eat in front of the TV. When you think about eat something you shouldn't, don't think just a little bite, you'll finish for eat all.
When you think about food do some other thinks, such go for a walk, stay always busy.
Drink a lot of water a some green tea.
Hope this can help

Well this is not an easy thing to do I was a big kid in my day. In grade 4, I was about 120 pounds. How I lost, my weight was eating healthy and exercise unfortunately it is the only thing you can really do. This is all in your mind set. It may take time but keep at it and do not give up. I would suggest not starting out on a stickied diet work your self up to it but in the mean time still keep up the exercise.

Ways that can help:

Take time to sit down and make a schedule to follow exercise, what to eat (Healthy food).

Get friends and family even Co-workers to help you out by setting a system so if you loose a certain amount of weight they will do something in return example: shave there head, loose 5 pounds, give you 50 bucks, so on. Divide the number of people you have and so when you get to a cretin pound that they will do something.

I am now 21 and yes I could still loose a little more weight I am still a few over what I should be for my age and height but not by to much.

Also if you want and "USE AT YOUR OWN RISK" is a pill called "CLA" that helps with weight loss they have done studies on it and have been effective with low risks involved. Truthfully I have just started taking them to help me get down to the right weight it is still not a magic pill you still need to eat good and exercise but I will put what they put on the news about it down below read it and see what you think. The only reason why I am telling you about this is because like you said "Zero control" but this is not the best way to go but it will help. You can get it at health food stores.

My husband and I have the same problem. We have decided to go on a diet together. That way we can help each other say no to the bad foods. We got involved in the "The Biggest Loser Club" It has a lot of online help, exercise programs, on DVD, A cookbook, a calorie counter. So far we have lost 12 and 13 pounds after starting January 5th. I reccommed this program to you because there is always someone to chat too and if you need help they are more than willing to help. This program is also nice because you do not starve. You eat 6 meals a day and they find ways to have very good food and the food that you crave lower in calories so you do not feel like you are deprived., Best of luck!

Diets don't work, it takes a change of lifestyle. People think if they eat less and less often they will lose weight, which is not the case.
I was up to 225 and felt awful, finally decided that it was time to lose the extra weight. I was able to lose 30 lbs in about 4 months, by changing my eating habits & exercising habits.
I have a goal to lose about 20-30 more, it is possible.
There is a book called "Healthy for Life" by Dr. Ray Strand, it opened my eyes to how the body functions.

i'm the same way you are. my weight has always been a struggle for me. and even though i want more than anything to be thin, somehow that's just not enough.
but i just started weight watchers, and i'm really enjoying it. it makes a game out dieting and counting counting calories. i started 2 weeks ago, and have lost a few pounds, but more than that, i just feel so much better already.
since your calories are on a point system, foods with more fiber and less fat have less points than "empty calorie" foods. so me, i looovve to eat, i try to fit as much food into the least amount of points, and in turn, make really healthy choices and always feel full and satisfied after i eat.
it's 12 bucks to go check out a meeting and get all the supplies, i really want to encourage you to do it, just to see. i think you might be surprised this time!!!

Things that worked for me:

Do not buy larger clothes when your weight increases. Tight pants are a great insentive to cut back on food intake.

Stand sideways in front of a mirror and relax all those muscles that are holding in your gut, watch it expand. I was stunned by how big my gut was when I first did this. Every time I thought all muscles were relaxed I concentrated on relaxing further. By the time I was done I looked 9 months pregnant. This was the one thing that finally got through to me.

Wear fitted stretch exercise clothing around the house, look in every mirror you pass. This had me running to work out.

Make yourself work out, after a month you will get used to it and after a few months you will start to enjoy it. I can't stand having a day go by without working out now.

I have gone from a size 14 to a size 7.

Get pissed and stay pissed. I grew up overweight, really overweight, and whenever I'm on the verge of eating junk I just think about all the insults I've endured and how I never want to go through that again. My body is now a huge F*CK YOU to everyone who has ever snickered at me, picked on me, and made me think less of myself. You know exactly where you'll go if you don't stick to a diet, you're already there. But think about where a commited effort to losing weight can get you. Keep that in your mind whenever you feel like dieting just isn't worth it and your tempted to give up. After about a month of healthy living, greasy and sugary food simply won't be all that hard to resist because you will know that you are beyond temptation.
