She and I are close friends, and we are going to a dance lesson. She invited me and then asked me to come along to keep her brother company. She suggests dancing with everyone but me until I suggest myself; after that, she is comfortable with and wants it to happen. She said she did not want to because it could be considered flirting. She even asked me twice who I would dance with seemingly interested. What are her true feelings? She tells everyone that she does not like me, but our feet meet under the table during meetings.

Sometimes the direct approach is best, just ask. But if that seems too bold for your liking, look for the following signs. Pay attention to your conversations with the person in question.
1) Does this person show a special interest in having a conversation with you and, once started, make an effort to keep that conversation going?
2) Has this person taken a sudden interest in your life and hobbies? This is a sure sign that he or she is interested in something.
3) Other elements of body language include frequent eye contact, holding your gaze and looking down before looking away.
4) Does the person you're wondering about just plain smile at you a lot?
Just remember, take each moment like it will be the last. This I feel will be a good start for you in knowing. Good Luck!!!!!!!

Hi I had a similar problem too. I had this guy friend who likes me for 8 years now. I think she might be intrested but too shy to come through with it. If you like her go for it and come clean. Maybe she'll like you in return and you'll become bf and gf.

she sounds shy... have you ever just come out and asked her if she likes you? You need to do that, so you don't have to deal with these mixed signals anymore.

she probably does and just doesn't want you to know cause if you dont and she does things could get awkward about your friendship or she's ashamed of liking you depends on who you are
