no, you don't have to get tested unless you know something else. I get blisters and cold sore under my nose and on my lip, yes it's a virus, but you can get it from just drinking in the same cup with someone. you can get from the air, you can get it from just kissing someone, just be careful and don't share your things with other people.

use chapstick from a drug store and have it with u every day in cold weather ur lips get really dry and then u get cold sores use medicated chapsick or some that say "for cold sores"

you can get cold sores on your lips just from virues floating around in the air,most times they are not real serious.You can find a tropical antifungal in the drug stores for cold sores.
