That is what many people say but there has been no research or studies done to back it up. I think it has to do with the idea that women become more comfortable with their bodies as they get older and become more confident. I think it varies for different women because some women lose confidence as they get older. All in all I think that if a girl becomes comfortable and confident with her body and sexuality at a young age she will not have to wait until she is 30 (who would want to wait that long) she can hit that peak at 16. Unfortunately, we live in a scoiety that does not allow girls to be comfortable and confident about themsleves until they are too old and then look back and wish they had been so younger. I for one am not waiting for thirty.

They do peak later than men, but it isn't that all women want is sex. We aren't so adolescent in our thinking along those lines. We don't get turned on to a Britney Spears type of person showing their genitals, for instance, nor do we buy Playboy to see the latest body. We usually are being responsible for life around us, family, friends , education and a job. Yes, we do love sex, even though it takes a real man to take enough time to do the foreplay needed; it just isn't in our thoughts, as research shows, as often as men.
The reason behind this theory is that men need to replenish the earth, so start early; women are raising the children that those same men bring into the world, so after the kids are older, she can take more time for her desires to be aroused and attended to. Who knows? Just take care of your body, love yourself, and sex will follow, at any age, when the right elements are present...caring, trusting and emotional support.

I'm not sure if all we want is sex, but it is true that we hit our peak at 30. Although I know lots of 30 year olds who could care less about sex. It all depends on the woman.

I do think that women develop their desires a wee bit later down the line, this being due to the fact that by our 30's most of us have had all our kids, thus our bodies are more rested and relaxed, allowing us that bit more freedom to enjoy ourselves. I actually feel sorry for men, they hit their peek at such a young age, then see their wives later on enjoying their sexuality all the while they need a Viagra just to get it up. All this then they go through a daft mid life crisis, and go off with a younger women and have a baby, thus they have to go through those sleepless nights all over again...hahaha

Everybody is different. I don't think I reached my peak at eighteen . I think being married twenty years beat my desire to death though.
