I know this boy pver the internet through a classmate. Don't worry- he doesn't know any personal information that may end up harming me by him having knowledge of it. He knows what I look like and told me I was hott. He thinks/hopes (?) I am interested in him as more than a friend. He asks me if I'm in a relationship and all. I gently found a way to let him know we are only friends. Now, he barely talks to me, and I think it is because he feels it is going nowhere. Help?

As far as you are concerned, you could be, but it doesn't sound like he wants that. Maybe it hurt his male pride that you didn't jump at the chance to be with him.Let it go and find someone else to be friends with.

This guy you know has to understand you position and the reason why you chose not to pursue a relationship at the moment, he will be crushed for a while but if he is any kind of a person he will see where you are coming from and let it go for the time being. You know what you can handle and what you can't and you know what you want to do , how to go after it. It is great you want to take your time, so you know what is out there and get to know the guy.

a LOT of guys talkig with girls on the internet are only there for one reason. If you told him only friends...and he doesnt want to talk any more...leave it alone. As a matter of a fact, any time you ever talk with a guy on the internet you need to say just friends right away. This way, the guys that are only after one thing wont talk to you any more and the guys who arent there for only one reason will keep on talking. This will help get rid of some of the perverts.

im going through the exact same thing this guy i don't like asked me out now every time he emails me he like asks who i like and says that he feels stupid for asking me out when i didn't like him. IT IS SOO ANNOYING.
