Look a round and see if you can find a place that has a theme. I have been to weddings in barns that were done so nice. And you didn't have to have a cowboy theme to have it there. It feel like and old fashion country wedding. You can also do a outside wedding, but the cost can run more than a hall because you have to rent everything. There is a new shop that can help you. It helped me. All Dressed Up Good luck

My husband and I got married in a rose garden at an arts center where we lived. It was already beautifully decorated with the roses in full bloom. It was early June, not too hot, so people didn't mind being outside. Plus, we did it early in the morning so our reception was a Tiffany and Co themed champagne brunch. Which actually saved a lot of money because people don't drink as much at mid day. Instead of a DJ we hired a string quartet from the local university for back ground music. It was really lovely, and very different. With the money we saved my parents, they were able to help us put down on our first home.

We ran off to Colorado and got married at the Miramount Castle in their Garden Area. It was just the right size for a small wedding. We could have had up to 50 people and there was room for a small cake table. We went out for steaks down the interstate. it was great and what was best was it cost less than 2000 bucks. The castle was only 400 to rent for the afternoon. Us ladies got ready in a huge beautiful room overlooking the small town and mountains.

Gretna Green ? I went to a wedding there last August, it was
great and not too expensive, plus all the guests had a great time
in the complex......or...why not have it in your back garden, or
a friends back garden.... much fun sorting the garden out
and all you do is contact your local registras office, they will
give you a list of qualified people to carry out the service !!
I must admit, this option is better in the Summer !!
in any event, I wish you the very best of luck !!!

Go to Thailand just the 2 of you, find a Buddist monastry and arrange a wedding breakfast with the monks. Have someone take some photos and enjoy the beauty and charm of a warm, inexpensive country without the complications of hotels and organising a futon for aunty Betty or a kennels for Butch!
Suprise your fiance and arrange this online.

I found this when I was looking at location weddings for my daughter. She had wanted something in the mountains. The "package" set up made it really attractive to me. Some packages are simply for the bride and groom and some are big enough for up to 200 guests. There are wineries, beaches, mountains etc all on the east coast. Check them out. http://www.blueridgeweddings.com/index.html They are all EXTREMELY reasonable in cost and are pretty much all inclusive of the wedding so you don't need to hire anyone or buy anything but your gown.

Well if I was to marry Mr B again, it would be in a field of Daisy's. And then have a picnic in the same field and drink Stinging nettle beer which is SOOOOOOOO LOVELY. We would dance in the moonlight with lamps with candles in and have gypsy music. The cake would be a Victoria sandwich decorated with cream and strawberry's. And we would swim in a lake at midnight with floating lanterns.
Oh is that a tad over the top?

Mine was different, not fancy at all, and CHEAP. We went to a cheezy wedding chapel in Miami OK, paid $50 for the license, $50 for the ceremony, went home and told family a couple days later!

any of your friend's farm ,or garden, invite the ones you love and whom would be happy for you, if the wedding in summer, use the season's fruits for decoration, red and green grapes are always a nice attractive choice, they can be very fresh and color full, use it with suitable flowers, this way you will decrease your cost and the same time do something different, if it is a winter wedding, use lots of candles, and warm colors for the setup, congratulations :)
