There are lots of good reasons to join the military. I wouldn't pick the Marines, but they might be good for you.

NO , not unless you plan to do 20 yrs. The killing skills they teach you will not be useful when you go back to being a civilian. You might have life-long nightmares if you knew what they really do with the CIA. Try the Air force or the Navy; they teach you skills you can use later in life. I respect the Marines and all there sacrifices but it's not for everyone. Good Luck.

Just go ARMY if you want to be in infantry, tanks, or whatever, the Marines have the image but every other service has more countries to get stationed in, better bases and facilities, and more money for college and other incentives. Plus almost any job in the Marines has an equivalent in another branch.

My gut reaction was to say, "If you think you can handle it, yes!"

Then I thought about it again... Think about what you want to do with your life... If that's too tough a question to answer, then narrow it down. What are you interested in? Are you a computer guy? good with engines? Athletic? Social?? Look at your strengths and think about where those skills will most benefit our military.

THEN, go shopping... check out each branch of the military... see what they can offer you... see how your skills and interests might fit in their structure.

Oh.. and don't just get bowled over by the awesome dress blues... You'll be proud of whatever uniform you're wearing!

If you blindly want to do whatever some *sshole in the white house tells you to do, so he can feel powerful and get richer than he already is, than sure, become a killbot.

Only if you have the responsibility to be unselfish and save other peoples lives. Because if you're a sh*tbag guarding my husband, then I don't want you near the military.

Stop asking and just do it. Any branch of your choosing. Only you know the answer. Be a man, or a woman if the shoe fits, and just do it. God Bless.
