I'd suggest maybe investing in some workout tapes and free weights, a treadmill (or elliptical - my fave), or a bike (stationary or not) and getting your workout in like that. Don't aim to lose more than 2 pounds a week because the faster you lose, the faster it will pile back on. As far as eating goes, DON'T CUT OUT A WHOLE GROUP. Don't be anti-carb - you're body needs them. I think that the easiest way to lose weight is to experiment and find out what works best for YOU. As for me, I have a small breakfast (half a bagel with reduced fat peanut butter and some sunny delight), a larger lunch (like a small honey bourbon chicken quiznos sub, baked chips, and a diet pepsi), and a smaller dinner (bowl of cereal or something.) I realize it is unlikely that this works for everyone. If I have a big lunch, it keeps me from binging when I get off of work and snacking all day long. Anyway, I hope I have helped. Good luck :)

A proper diet is the best way to lose weight naturally and keep it off. You have to eat a varied adequate and balanced diet. Your body needs all kinds of food to function properly including fat in smaller quantities though. Your body needs the nutrients and vitamins in fruits and vegetables the most, that is what you should eat the most of (at least 5 servings a day). You also need protein, and a little fat. Reduce your intake of sweets, fried food and foods that contain a lot of fat. Don't drink too many alcoholic beverages or soft drinks (they have a lot of calories). Don't go to sleep right after you eat. And finally exercise at least 3 to 4 days a week for about 45 minutes.Good luck. You can also get more information about nutrition from this site:

But you do have access to a sidewalk and to shoes, your own feet, etc.

Losing weight requires both the correct changes in diet and an increased level of activity. However, you must see your doctor first, both to get help with the diet side and to ensure that you are healthy enough for increased levels of physical activity.

pick up a 5 or 10 pound weight at the gym and visualize that weight coming off holding the weight in your hands helps bring home just how heavy even 5 pounds of extra fat can be

Find a buddy to work out with and some good music to keep you motivated. drink lots of cold water and snack healthy and very to often to give your metabolism a boost. jump rope is one of the best cardio work outs you can do. burns fat fast, but pushups, sit ups, etc will tone your body. i think the easiest way is to find a sport of physical activity that you absolutely love to do. that way its not such a drag to lose weight and it doesn't seem like work

Study up on nutrition, its really about that and not so much exercise for controlling your weight. If you are not an active person, Atkins type diets (no carbs) will probably work best.

Where do you live? Do you have someone in your life who can motivate you to walk/jog/run. I also need to lose 20 pounds.
Let's partner. Can you afford to purchase a piece of equipment for home?

I think you just need the right motivation.
