My step mom & my dad have been married for three years this year. My dad & i get along pretty darn well.
It was amazing today when went out with my friends to the mall for lunch & just to do some shopping, she was with my little step sisters came to say hi as we were walking in the opposite direction. She chatted to my pals more than she normally would got to know them by names,faces & everything else. Which normally she would just say hi & carry on.
After this I had phoned my dad & told him this,he was just as shcoked as I was. She is really beginning to be so nice after I have no idea. Not that she was not nice before she had really tried to make an effort to do things with me which is great.
My dad & i spend alot of time together.Or maybe it was of the weekend away i got them together & me & my little step brother & sisters stay behind? Is this really weird or is it just me? Or is ther a change in her? Cheak a day ago questions "step mom perinoid' which i put up a day or 2 ago

well maybe she just wants to be nice to you and your Friends, so that you know she is there for you. or maybe cause she know your growing up, and doesn't want to lose you to age to fast, and realizes she wants to spend what time left as a kid, as having a good relationship. don't question the good things, just be grateful. ok? good luck sweetie

I had a Step Dad till is grow to be i grow to be 7,and he previous whilst i grow to be 17,,,, he's or grow to be and consistently would be my Dad , and he had to young babies and that i call them my brother and sister,, H&S

give her a chance, it is not easy being a step parent. you know that you will never be a parent, so your best hope is that you can be a friend to your step kids. Hopefully you will build a good relationship with her as she will most likely be around for a long time.

Sounds like she is really trying to get to know your friends.Thats a good thing.Don't look a gifted horse in the mouth. She is probably more asure of herself and thats why she is taking the next step into getting to know your friends. You sound like your family life is good. Good for u.

i have a step mom to i sometimes think she doesn't treat me good enogh as she does to my half brother; so i don't know . sory that i can't help
