Yes, it should copy to all discs.

BUT don't fall into a trap that I once did - there are 2 types of DVD R .... plus (+) and (-), make sure your you know which your laptop can use.

you can, but the audio files you create will only be able to be saved as mp3, wma etc.
CDDA (normal audio files as on a music CD will not be made or rather can not be made using a DVD as yet. because no current CD drive reads DVDs).
it is all a matter of what you want to do.
the files can simply be dragged and dropped to your DVD burner in nero if you use a dvd-RW formatted correctly you can use a DVD-rw like it is a removable floppy or flash drive where you can access files randomly and erase rewrite any file just as you can on your primary C: drive.

but like i said a DVD can store anything you put on it.
but if you want that to play on another machine, make sure you record in a format that is supported by the external device. so in this example if you want a DVD to play an audio file on your home DVD player for example and not in another computer with the same software, then you will need to save (or best to save) the audio as an MP3 format. Remember to finalise the Disc when you have finished writing the file. i'd strongly suggest you use a dvd-RW as this can be re-written ata latter date so storage space is not wasted. 190MB on a DVD is a waste. use a CD if you are only going to burn that one file.

good luck.

Of course you can, you should then be able to play it in your dvd player and elsewhere. Dvd-r's are basically the same as Cd's except that they can store 4gb+ data and have the ability to hold movies to play on a dvd player. Nero 7 rocks
