The best way is exercise & proper nutrition from food. Drugs are bad, mmkay. If you are a "hard-gainer" then you will need to eat a lot more than most to get bigger though. Aerobic/cardio exercise should be done a lot less frequently than weights also. VitaminC is OK however as you will need to have some anti-oxidants to help with reducing the damage of lactic acid buildup after exercise. Calcium & Vitamin D should also be taken as apparently lots of protein can cause calcium to be used from bones. Low reps & heavy weights are the way to build muscle.

i would totally recommend get the 'abs diet' book from mens health, its got an orange cover and you can get it from amazon for virtually nothing, its a seriously cheap investment..
its pretty much the bible to eating well, and getting fit and toned... don't bother with any of the weight loss stuff, just look at the protein sections as those'll help you put on muscle mass.. you'll find out pretty quickly, you don't eat anywhere near enough 'quality' food, or do enough exercise.. and yes, protein shakes will become your new best friend... and in a couple of months you'll see major changes happening in your body if you follow its advice..
the book really does work, i couldn't recommend it enough, i know exactly where you're coming from, and its worked for me! good luck..

Study up on nutrition. Eat more things like oatmeal and potatoes for weight gain, and get a reputably whey protein powder and take at least 1.5 grams per pound of your future body weight. 85% Nutrition, 15% training.

You need to focus on what your body needs for growth. Find good quality protein products! When training, alway use a spotter, and go heavy! Allow the spotter to do his job and get some failure reps. Drink a LOT of water!

Its better to get your protein from your food rather than pills. Or you can mix whey protein in a smoothie everyday. Make sure you eat carbs as well if you are bulking up.

I saw an intervie with Sly taking about his new Rocky Balboa film out. He was asked about how he managed to bulk up so much and he described that he used heavier weights with fewer repetitions rather than simple weight lifting.
There are so many sites out there that can help you, just google what you want to find out.

at your age lots of protein is best.lots of weight training, but do the exercises correctly in isolation.try and find a local bodybuilding gym(less and less of these nowadays).size is related to genes so if yr dad aint a big bloke chances are you wont get to be either.
