I am for 100% but your 80 and my 100 will never happen. The court sytem is a money maker. Add in to the fact that so are jails and prisons. Our government and those that profit by crime will never let that happen. Why do you think we have a system of justice with such a high return rate?
But lets keep it real ok. Illegal drugs are bad for you and for all the people who know you. They destroy families and individuals regardless of race, creed or anything else. They hurt the people around the user. Violence and abuse are so high among those that know a drug user. So sure we allow drugs to be legal and we watch families crumble and our children hurt more.
But why make it legal when yes our own government profits by it. So many jobs and agencies have been created to combat this that it has become a million dollar enterprise. even if it was legal our government would never make as much money as they do by keeping it illegal.
In my opinion get out of Iraq and get us into countries that produce these drugs and wipe it out. We have better things to do then to become a bunch of dopeheads. These coutries are the real terrorists.

Get over it druggie, they are going to stay illegal. Yes 80% are high when they commit crimes, so how does legalizing the drug drop the crime rate. Good idea legalizing meth, cocaine, crack, heroin, LSD, Ecstasy. Like society isn't f'd up enough already. How about this, anyone caught selling drugs in this country gets one behind the ear? That should eliminate drug dealers and drug users in turn.

You are absolutely correct, but I can't see it happening in our lifetime. Too much money & power on the other side. Evil begets evil.

It's not society's fault that these people did those crimes. NO ONE IS FORCING THEM TO TAKE DRUGS!! They broke the law of their free will and need to be punished for it. Dumb pothead.
