I havent been exercising for about the last 2 years and although im not fat i am untoned. im 5'6 at the moment and weigh 115 so as you can guess i dont need to lose any weight. I want to become more toned but dont want to look like a twig is this possible?

When you exercise to tone up/ strengthen your body, you are building muscle. You won't lose weight, you will gain it. The reason is; muscle weighs more than fat and water. If you have no fat or water to lose you will only gain muscle. So, the answer to your question is Yes!
