Hilton Resort and Red Sea Blue Rivaige (I'm just not sure about spelling of Rivaige) in Hurghada. But wherever you decide to go on your own, find some friends you'll stick to. You'll just have less problems. Egyptian men can be really boring if you are alone, so find some company and you'll have no problems. Egypt is amazing...

You should have no problems there. As for specific resorts, it has been ten years since I was there and I was there on a three day business trip to Alexandria. Warning, do not buy wood carvings, they smell horrible when you get them in a room!!! You can't smell it on the street near the sea wall, but oh boy can they stink up a hotel room!
