Christians were given athourity to judge the earth. But they were told not to judge each other.

"And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha(homosexual cities) in the day of judgment, than for that city" Matthew 10:14

"2 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? 3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life? 4 If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church. 5 I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren?" 1 Corinthians 6:2-5

Great Question.
Picture yourself as a pastor of a church. In the middle of the service a married couple start to have sex on the front row. This is not a sin but it is very disruptive. We are to judge the situation and ask the couple to stop and inform them that it is disruptive and even illegal. They are perfectly within GOD's law but we need to use judgment in order to keep the focus on GOD's word.
As far as Judging someones fate we can not possibly be able to do that. Only GOD can see all the factors that make up a human life. If you would of known me ten minutes before I got saved you would of been absolutely sure I was going to hell.

you R wrong to say we are not to judge each other. Read
I Corinthians 5...the entire chapter is about getting rid of those within the body of Christ who are willfully living in sin. In that Chapter, it specifically admonishes the believers to judge those who are within the church....and to judge others outside the church is left to God....it says one day we will judge angels, but only after we are perfected in righteousness, when Jesus returns. Right now the only authority we have is over other believers.
You are really screwing up what you are reading. The quotes say YOU SHALL, which means in the FUTURE.......and for real, we will not judge with our own mind, but with the Mind of Christ that will be in us, the ONE Mind of God, because He will write it into our hearts. GET IT? We are imperfect now, so we had best take the log out of our own eye and then judge our brother. But leave the sinners outside the Church to the Hand of God..love them, and seek to rescue them from their ignorance.

Matthew 5:22 ...whosoever is angry with his brother WITHOUT A CAUSE shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall SAY to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but WHOSEVER SHALL SAY (to anyone), Thou [idiot], shall be in danger of hell fire."

WHY? To call someone an idiot is to say God is an idiot. This is why it is so important how we treat others...Because all people were made in the Image of God and we do not know which ones God will save and which ones He will allow to choose their own eternity in hell. It will be for us to know when He gives us the Mind of Christ.

we don't have the right to judge other because we know that we are all sinners and no body is perfect...but we can rebuke them
and correct them.better an open rebuke than a hidden love.if you love and care someone we have to correct and discipline them.love covers over a multitude of sins...
In 2 Tim. 3:16 says "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking and training is righteousness,so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work"

Remember in the New Testament when the woman found in adultery was brought before Jesus for sentencing. That the woman committed adultery was not in dispute. What was wrong was the pharisees and scribes judgement of condemnation.

Often people take it that if you tell them they are doing something wrong it is judgement. That is really not the case. Pointing out error is not wrong. Saying the woman committed adultery was not wrong. Pointing out error is not judgement.

What is wrong is the sentence of condemnation. Sometimes God changes the very people that we condemn. Just as we want a judgement of mercy for ourselves, so should be our thoughts for others. It is good to lead one who is in fault back to good standing, if possible.

It is perfectly OK to judge the sin...but not the sinner...big difference...the Bible also says.."to shun the very appearance of evil"....we have common sense...we know if something is a sin and we are to remove ourselves from that sin....but you should not hate the sinner...we do not know what motivates anyone...only God knows their heart and what circumstances brought them into sin...even in forgiving the sinner, you do not have to keep putting yourself in the situation where that sin keeps affecting your life......you don't have to hate a rattlesnake to know that if you pick it up it will bite....

We can only give guidance for each other but it is not our job to judge. We all are sinners. We all fall short from the glory of God. We will be saved only by the mercy and grace of God.

it is absolutely wrong.
God is the only being qualified to judge human souls, as He is totally without sin.
Christians are no better than the rest of the sinners in the world, except that they are saved.
Being saved does not make one sinless.

Matthew 7:1

"Judge not, lest ye be judged. For with measure ye judge, so to shalt ye be judged'

The only viable synonym for Christian is Sinner.
