Jhn 2:13 ¶ And the Jews' passover was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem,

Jhn 2:14 And found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting:

Jhn 2:15 And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables;

-----------------------

We didn't he ask them gently to leave instead of overthrowing their tables... very brutal and violent!!!

The money changers were taking advantage of the people, making a profit in Gods house of prayer. Jesus was angry and trying to make a point.

ok, at the beginning might you sell your companion/kin interior of your guy or woman dwelling house? If no longer, then your questioning what Jesus Is questioning. He loves those doves and on an identical time know his father. secondly, he did no longer use any weapon, and it seems which you spotted it too. Now I ask you this, How does that make his "violent nature" sparkling? Thirdly, in case you think approximately the turning table bit violent, then gain this, yet he did it peacefully with out harming a fly, word that it would not say every person became harm suitable? "Enemies would be mercilessly killed"; What if, it particularly is the individuals who's going to do the killing?

The temple was a very Holy place and the outer court was filled with greedy salesmen selling animals for excessive prices, taking advantage of the people, dealing and swindling.
Jesus re-acted to those dishonest sales people who were in fact invading the Temple with their presence and sinful practices.
He needed to make a strong point about it knowing that no amount of gentle persuasion would have an effect. Sometimes people need a good slap on the face, so to speak, to wake up.

No He wasn't, He was demonstrating that the Fathers house should not be made into a den of thieves. He didn't hit people with the whip, but he got the point across. The people doing business in the temple wouldn't have listened to a calm voice telling them to move on out. Jesus is Lord.

Find a corresponding act of violence by Jesus. One incidence, one time, Jesus lost his temper because he felt the "money changers" were desecrating the Temple, the Jewish Temple. Was anyone hurt? Did Jesus kill anyone?

Apparently you do not know about the importance of the Temple, nor the role this incident plays in the crucifixtion, so its wasting time to explain it once again. SW

This is my LORD. He paid for me with his flesh and blood. He has been so longsuffering that people like to ridicule and mock us Christians. But Jesus is also the Lion of Juda. Remember the old Atheist bumper sticker? "Jesus is comming and boy is he pissed!" Well it is true.

Rev 19:13 And he [was] clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
Rev 19:14 And the armies [which were] in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
Rev 19:15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
Rev 19:16 And he hath on [his] vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
Rev 19:17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;
Rev 19:18 That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all [men, both] free and bond, both small and great.
Rev 19:19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.
Rev 19:20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.
Rev 19:21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which [sword] proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

Have ye never read Tehelim?

:
Ps 69:9
For the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached thee are fallen upon me

They were selling things in His Father's house against the Law.

how predictable for you to pick the ONE passage in the Bible that showed Jesus's righteous anger....by the way, the Bible does not say"do not become angry"...it says. "do not sin in anger"...what Jesus did was completely justified...and in his "anger" he did what was right, therefore...sinned not!!!...if that is the only passage where you can find an indignant Jesus, (among the hundreds where He preached peace and tolerance), I think your comment lacks validity...Peace Out!!

I dont see where it said He struck anyone with the cord. If chasing someone off your property because they are defiling it, is violent, you must not get out much.
