the body has its own internal clock....we usually get into a routine with our life and meals happen around some specific periods of the day....you feel hungry when the body's internal clock anticipates the arrival of food because of your routine, and starts secreting the digestive juices in the stomach. one of the ingredients in this is hydrochloric acid (not kidding, look it up)...this is what makes your stomach 'hurt' when you are hungry. This same phenomenon occurs when we pass by a bakery store or watch a cook-show and we like what we see, that is, the body secrets digestive juices, and we feel hungry....

When you're hungry, your stomach lets you know you need food by contracting. It's these spasms that are called, "hunger pangs."
And depending on how sensitive your stomach is, they can be mildly annoying or very painful.
