Isaiah 1:11
To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the LORD: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats.

He never did. People just stopped doing it, and then started pretending that Jesus said it was OK. What Jesus really said is that not a word of the old law was to change until his return. So all these young earthers, if they truly believed in every word of the bible, should be sacrificing away. But they don't. Not very devout if you ask me. OK, I have to go make my wave offering now, I'll answer more questions about god's love later, after I hack up these doves and burn them as a sweet savor unto the lord.

When Jesus died on the cross, at the exact moment of death the veil that had seperated the temple from the holy of holies was torn in two and it was no longer two seperate places, therefore signaling that no longer was it necessary for a person to present a sacrifice to a priest to be offered up as a substitute for sin.

Jesus told the Samaritan woman at the well that the time was coming and was now here where it didn't matter where a person came to worship God because He was seeking people who would worship Him in spirit and in truth.
After Jesus laid down his life as the eternal sacrifice that makes holy for all time the people who by faith accept it in their stead we are now to only offer up spiritual sacrifices of praise since the animal sacrifices were only outward symbols of the perfect sacrifice that God himself would provide as foreshadowed when He told Abraham to offer up Isaac but then provided a ram to take his place.
John 4:21 Jesus said to her, "Woman, believe me, the hour is coming when neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem will you worship the Father. (22) You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, for salvation is from the Jews. (23) But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. (24) God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth."
1 Peter 2:5 you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
Hebrews 13:15 Through him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name.
Hebrews 10:10 And by that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. (11) And every priest stands daily at his service, offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. (12) But when Christ had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God, (13) waiting from that time until his enemies should be made a footstool for his feet. (14) For by a single offering he has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified.

Throughout the book of Matthew the theme, "I desire mercy, not sacrifice" is noted. This is actually a quote from the OT (Hosea 6, and a couple of other places).
Jesus recounts this verse in order to emphasize his ministry to the "sinful", in contrast with what was presumed to be a culture of exclusivity among the Jews as the "saved", or the "elect".

When Solomons Temple was detroyed in 70 AD, it was impossible to sacrifice like that any more because that is where sacrifices had to be made.
Dan 9:27 He will confirm a covenant with many for one 'seven.' In the middle of the 'seven' he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on a wing of the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him. "

:
Heb 10:10-12
By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:
12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
:
Ps 69:30-32
0 I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving.
31 This also shall please the LORD better than an ox or bullock that hath horns and hoofs.
32 The humble shall see this, and be glad: and your heart shall live that seek God.
:
Isa 66:3
He that killeth an ox is as if he slew a man; he that sacrificeth a lamb, as if he cut off a dog's neck; he that offereth an oblation, as if he offered swine's blood; he that burneth incense, as if he blessed an idol. Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations.
:
Jer 7:22-24
For I spake not unto your fathers, nor commanded them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices:
23 But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you.
24 But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the counsels and in the imagination of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward.
:
Heb 13:15-16
By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.
16 But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased

Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice, the lamb of God and that is when the law ended pertaining to sacrifice.

When Jesus came. Haven't you read the New Testament? After Jesus came, we no longer had to follow the strict rules of the Old Testament. Jesus was bringing the new law: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." "Love your neighbor as you love yourself." Etc. The NT goes into more detail than that; like don't cheat on your spouse, etc. but it was THEN that we didn't have to "cleanse" ourselves everytime we went to the bathroom, and make sacrifices, etc.
