well here's a real life exemple (it was on just for laughs): some guy put a mouse next to some women and they all jumped on a bech and started holding their skirts down. Elephants are scared of mice because they will go in their trunks so... you get where I'm going

this is my honest opinion.I think they love that thing you mentioned. The problem is they don't know how to pull it out afterwards. And i think that's why they are afraid of those things.
