Sounds like you son has intestinal parasitism. Can you give us a better description of the worm? Go to this website to get an idea how the worms are described (www.appliedozone.com/parasites.htm). Most common are roundworms or ascaris lumbricoides. The condition is called ascariasis. Treatment will depend on what worm it is. If you can get a worm and bring it to the doctor or laboratory for identification then the doctors can decide what kind of drug can be given.

He has a tapeworm or some other worm-like parasite. Call the ER nurse and ask her if you should be seen right away. That's the best thing you can do unless you have clinics open on Saturdays in your area. Don't wait too long or he will become dehydrated and much sicker. Generally this is very treatable with some oral medicine and taken care of in a short amount of time. Good luck.

Don't panic, having kids is like having a pet. They needed to be wormed regularly!! I've 3 kids and we get a worming tincture from the health food shop about once every 3 months. Sometimes you never even know until you've actually taken the worming programme and the relief is enormous!! Some symptoms are itching in the rectal area, insatiable hunger, bloating, tummy pains.
GOOD LUCK

Sounds like your basic intestinal worms, has he been eating sushi again?!! See a doctor, these are not serious, and are easily cured with meds. Never had them, but know friend who has. Disgusting but not dangerous!
