oranges, peaches, turkey sandwich with extra lettuce, lots of water (obviously), stay away from sugar other than natural sugar. Cook out on the grill, grilled talapia and fresh fish, grilled veggies and a nice salad for dinner. Tomatoes.

I lived in Central Florida for years. Heat waves lasted 3 months there.

Lots of water is most important. Salads (add some chunks of grilled chicken or steak) and fruits, watermelon is my favorite during extreme heat. I also make pop sickles out of juice. They are not loaded with sugar and far better for you than the pop sickles you buy in a store. Bottom line, eat what you like, but if you don't have an appetite because of the heat, make sure you drink lots of fluids, and force a salad or some fruit. If you have too, lay in a cool bath while eating your dinner...lol I feel for you!!

I Live in Arizona, so everyday is like a heat wave! I usually eat frozen yogurt or ice cream. But I have 2 yummy shake recipes:
Strawberry-Banana Cooler:
serves about 4
3 c frozen (or fresh) strawberries
1 banana
2 cups of ice (or as much as you like, the more the icecubes, the thicker)
1 cup yogurt (any flavor or regular is fine)
protien powder (optional)

combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth
you can use any fruit, by the way

Chocolate Shake:
serves about 3
about 5 medium-sized scoops of chocolate icecream
1 spoonful (about a tablespoon) of yogurt
ice (add to taste)
1/2 cup heavy cream (makes it thick and creamy)
put all ingredients , EXCEPT the heavy cream and blend those until smooth, then add heavy cream
you can use and flavor of icecream in this recipe, but if you want it to still taste chocolatey, add chocolate syrup to taste.

Good Luck!

First of all, you should stay away from food containing too much fat. Do not eat fried or roasted meals. You should prefer salads, raw vegetables, grilled and/or boiled meals. Stay away from sauces. In simple words, eat light things, drink plenty of water or fruit juices. Do take some salt, as the body tends to lose some of it through sweating. Take less calories than usual.

I would suggest cool veggies, dipped in ranch fressing. Maybe some lemonaid, sandwhiches, and salads are great too
