Somehow, these "people" think we don't "get" what they're doing. Since I've started participating on this site - they've gone from being overly sensitive to allowing any kind of racist rhetoric as long as the first sentence can be construed as a genuine question.
I agree that this site is for the free exchange of ideas and to ask and answer legitimate questions. Somehow, it's turned into a forum for bashing anyone who is not an American born White Anglo Saxon Protestant. It used to be fun - now I always wind up getting angry and stop participating for awhile.
I wish we had our Yahoo Answers back.

Actually, I'm more concerned with his own racist rhetoric. From Barack's book, Audacity of Hope: "I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction."

I don't use derogatory words in my question or my answers.I am against all illegal aliens from any nation. For me it has nothing to do with race or country of origin..Evidently you haven't had the pleasure yet of being called nasty names because you say that you oppose illegal aliens.I have received everything from vulgar
sexually oriented emails to death threats to me ,my family and even my dog.from other Yahoo users.( I will not close my account to E-mail)
This comes from both sides of this issue. It is not restricted to anti or pros. Its from the people with lower mentality of both sides
People that will use any issue as a vehicle for hate.
I see racists of all colors and from all country's post their hate on this forum.
Call me whatever you wish, the race card has no effect on my views.I am anti illegal alien . I live in Arizona and I see first hand the damage being done to my city ,my state and to the legal people of all colors here in this great nation.
Someones hate cant change my views.I deal only in facts and irrefutable truth. Not rhetoric .

It's one thing to be talking about racism,
it's another thing to be slamming people,
and using racist slurs. The main reason
that this happens is because there are
a billion racist out there. Flag them, when
they get over the line. The more the subject
of racism is discussed, the more educated
people will become to the pain it causes.
You can't fix it, if you don't know it's broken.
Learn all you can about the people around you.
We're not so different..after all. P E A C E

Exactly, they claim to only hate illegals but talk about Latinos in general. These posinous snakes must be treated with care, you never know when they are going to bite you.

Joey K is right. A racist has just as much right to voice their opinion as anybody else does. I don't like the opinion of racists but do agree they have the right to that opinion and to voice it.

Stifling others, no matter how repugnant their opinion, is still tyranny.

If this is a country that prides itself on freedom of expression, then why can't unpopular thoughts, like racist ones, be expressed?
