I'm assuming you live in the U.S.A.
You don't need a permit to stand in public and voice your beliefs, provided that you are not being a public nuisance (i.e. preventing other people from going about their daily lives). Stand in a clearly public place (like a park), not in front of a residential or commercial building.
However, if you want to set up a booth or pass out pamphlets, then you may need a solicitation permit. This is governed at the municipal level, so you'll have to go down to your town/city hall to find out what you need.

Is there any reason you can't express your religious zeal in Church? As a Jewish agnostic I can assure you that I, and no one else that doesn't already agree with you, really don't care what you believe. We find it an annoyance. It's actually quite rude. I don't yell at you about my beliefs. I work in the legal field an am fully able to answer your question, but in order to spare people from having to listen to your dribble I will not share that knowledge.
A Christian Philosopher named Kierkagaard wrote nothing worth teaching can be taught. A trully secure person, confident in his faith, wouldn't need to ram it down the throats of others.

Check with your local city government office. People do that and much more in our downtown city all the time. Please remember this though NOT everyone shares the same views/religion as you and those who do probably already are aware that Jesus loves them. You maybe seen more of a nusense or even viewed as mentally ill (especially with the yelling part). I'd think twice but it's a free country.

I'm not a legal authority, but I *think* that if it's a public walkway, and you're not blocking traffic, that you don't need a permit. In any case, if you run into trouble with local authorities, contact the ACLU, as they have defended street preachers before and no doubt would do so again:

You shouldn't need any permit, you have freedom of expression. But if you did need one, it would be the result of a law set in place by the town, rather than the state or country. Go to the chamber of commerce or the sheriffs department and ask them if they have a statute set in place about this kind of thing, then ask them what you need to do. Different towns have different statutes about what they allow.

GO FOR IT MAN! Everyone else wants to voice their opinion, but they want to silence Christians.
I would suggest maybe a little more tactful way. Less invasive and pushy. Maybe, walking through the mall and telling people what quietly. I think if you were to sit in the mall and pray, God would show you the people you would approach, who knows, they may just be waiting for confirmation from God.

That is the real Freedom of Speech. Being able to petition your city for a permit. Not getting in peoples "faces"!
They have just as much right to "not hear it", if they choose.
Those who truly believe in themselves and their words, don't
need to get in peoples faces.
Contact your Mayors Office for information. Local Government.

You have to check state by state. Here in Kentucky I have the right to hold up a sign as long as I do in a respectful manner as far as yelling I don't think so.

Just hold up a copy of the Bill of Rights. And make sure you're on public property.

Check with the local police or even a local attorney. You may call the county or city government offices and seek help there as well.
Good luck.
