Check out the web site for The Stuttering Foundation of America at www.stutteringhelp.org. Their book "Self Therapy for the Stutterer" helped an uncle of mine who couldn't afford a speech specialist. The referral list on the web site has therapist who specialize in treating stuttering. Some of them are former stutterers themselves. I have had other people who stutter tell me that the Stuttering Foundation's materials helped them more than their speech teacher at school did.

People that stutter should go to a speech therapist for help.
It's very difficult to overcome a problem like that on your own with just a conscious effort.

Try reading out loud. My brothers did that and it helped alot. Have you tried finding a speech therapist?

See a speech therapist. If you are in public school, all of them offer this free upon an IEP.

If too old, pay for one

i sometimes stutter, and over the years, ive gotten better. when i was like 8, my mom took me to a speech phycologist, and that was like a loooooooong time ago. wat i do is just say it, try to start off with a non-stutter begginning, then you usally end with a clear end.
