i only use iTunes and never Quicktime. I am currently trying to optimize my system and disk space.

Quicktime is not directly integrated into iTunes. However, iTunes does rely heavily on quicktime. iTunes uses it to play movies, tv shows, and podcasts that you download to your library. Also, if you want to preview a music video, tv show, etc. in the iTunes store, you need quicktime.

So, while it will not immediately cripple iTunes, you will notice performance issues if you remove it. Hope this helps!

Basically no videos will run with the removal of Itunes.

no itunes need quicktime to work

quiktime doesnt take up more the 20mb, and no it will not work as that is required for itunes to function.
