your both right. if you have bad posture it can pull on your muscles causing sharp pains to occur. i would invest into an inversion table. this will not only help your posture and ease your pain but it will also relieve tension as it helps fight off the effects of gravity. my husband had an accident where his arm was compleetely numb for 6 months. he tried an electroid treatment with no results. he tried physical therapy with very poor results. then we started swimming and using the inversion table. the results have been great. he now can feel his fingers and has 75% of the motility back in that arm. he also has gained back 1 full inch of his height lost from gravity. i would also recommend this for back aches and weight loss. the stretching really does help.

as for your friend, have her try a lip therapy. these are found near the chapstick but cost around $2-5. they are NOT lip gloss or a simple chap stick but they ARE actually a medication applied directly to the lips. not all lip protection is equal, make sure you are getting **medicated lip therapy**

Somehow I don't know if I would trust an oral surgeon who misspells mouth as mouse. It kind of suggests he didn't graduate at the top of his class (or if he did then the college was not very reputable). As far as the pain you are describing, then it is very common for wisdom teeth to not come in properly if there is not enough room on the jaw. This can lead to excruciating pain, and possibly a misalignment of your existing teeth. I am perfectly able to believe that the pain from a wisdom tooth coming in wrong would radiate down your neck and into your shoulder. The solution is to bite the bullet and look for a dentist who will take payments in installments if you can not afford the procedure all up front. Hurting teeth are not a fun way to spend your life. What better use do you have for your discretionary funds if not to relieve your pain? I hope this helps.

RICE is the acronym used for Rest, Ice, Compression, and Elevation. It is used as the best initial treatment of soft tissue injuries such as sprains, strains, and contusions. The combination of RICE helps reduce inflammation that occurs after acute injury. It is important to remember that the earlier this treatment is put into place, the more effective it is.
Rest: Rest and protect the injured area.
Ice: Apply ice to the injury. The cold will reduce swelling and pain at the injured site. This step should be done as soon as possible. Apply the frozen object to the area for 20 minutes three times a day for the first 48 hours.

Continue until you have complete range of motion. Than start gentle strengthening exercises to re-build the strength in the shoulder.
The stiffness will go away over time.

Take a tennis ball and put it between your shoulder blade area on your spine while laying down on the carpet.Now roll the ball back and fourth till you feel the sore spot.That will be the out of place vertibra.Keep it in this spot to relieve the pain for a minute.Do it every day till you are doing better.Have your friend try Twinn Labs fish oil capsules.I think fish oil will help.

It most likely isn't a torn rotator cuff. I've torn both of mine and the only problems I experience happen when I move my arms in rotation... rather painful. Do you relax your shoulders during the day? I used to experience the same thing and it was from constantly flexing the muscles in my shoulders without realizing it. Let them relax! You may need to get the knotted muscle worked out, though.

Maybe a pinched nerve.
I have a pain too, in the back of the shoulder blade area. I had an x-ray which found nothing. I've just been living with it.
Sometimes worse than others, depending on activity.

Um...try another doctor if you don't agree with this one. One thing is for sure; you aren't getting very sound medical advice an Answers. We're a bunch of losers with nothing better to do, so we answer a bunch of questions and act like we know what we are talking about to make our egos grow. Try using professionals when it's something important. You will be much happier in the long run.

I have the exact same thing in my shoulders. It turns out, mine is becuase I dont work out the muscles connected to the collarbone. Also, the way I sleep every night had some effect.
