A digestive biscuit, sometimes referred to as a sweetmeal biscuit, is a British semi-sweet biscuit. The name "digestive" comes from a belief that the biscuits had antacid properties due to the use of bicarbonate of soda when they were first conceived.

Why digestive biscuit? Because McVities English biscuits are easy to digest. Made from wheat flour. McVities English biscuits are the most popular band of cookie in the UK apparently.

Digestive biscuits, they are called Soda Crackers.
They were thought to settle your stomach. Help
your digestive track. Maybe they do...women still
eat soda crackers if they feel sick to the stomach.
