Spanish Spanish first, because the language is so widely spoken, then French (traditionally the language of diplomacy, so it's widely spoken as well). You should also at some point learn Mandarin Chinese (the language of officialdom in China), Arabic, Russian and probably Hindi. Continue to learn as many languages as you can, but the order in which you learn them should be based on their prevalence of use throughout the world.
The more languages that you can speak, the easier it's going to be for you to do business. You need to be able to carry on a conversation, both a social one and a business one. Remember that you will always have lawyers and professional translators for documents and contracts.

There are more than two dialects of Spanish. Mexican and Spain Spanish aren't the only ones. In fact, those are on the extreme ends as far as the Spanish language goes. (think Louisiana down-south english and british english) Some Latinos that I have spoken with that aren't from Mexico have a little bit of trouble understanding the Mexican accent. If you wanted to expand your spanish horizons, I would suggest learning Spanish in Costa Rica. It has a fairly neutral, easy to learn dialect, and is one of the most easily understood in Latin America. (Colombia has a very good dialect and accent also, but it's not the safest country to visit.) An easily understood Latin American dialect of Spanish would be much more useful than Spain's Spanish. Latin American Spanish is spoken in more places (by the Latinos in the U.S. and in Central and South America) unlike Spain Spanish which is only spoken in Spain alone. If you're interested in something other than a Romance language, Mandarin Chinese is one of the most prevalent languages in the world. It would be good to know also.

Go with French. They all are derived from the Latin root. I'd also suggest that you brush up on your Spain Spanish, as it is not as idiomatic as Mexican. I speak a little Puerto Rican Spanish, but have to be careful around Cubans, as words from one, may have a different meaning to the other.

it's hard, if you have important business in Spain, Italy or France, choose the language of that country, but in the world? i would say French, because you already speak Mexican Spanish......don't you? well, don't waste your time learning Spain Spanish, learn french is more spoken in countries like Netherlands, Belgium, former french colonies in Africa, but if you want my opinion, Portuguese is more useful than any of that languages, is spoken in Brazil, Portugal, India, Cape Verde, Angola, Morocco and people who hear Portuguese is more nice with you, because everybody hates french people(at least in USA) and Italian is only spoken in Italy

French. I believe, and I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong, that French is either second or third in number of countries (not individuals) that use it as an official language.

Ofc it depends on who you'll be doing most business with. China is really up and coming as well, so perhaps learning some Chinese is a good idea too.
I'd say Spanish or Chinese at this point... perhaps Japanese.
